To celebrate Pensthorpe Natural Park’s 30th anniversary this summer, we have teamed up to offer one lucky winner a Champagne afternoon tea for four PLUS four annual passes to the park
The Millennium Garden at Pensthorpe Natural Park is one of Norfolk’s truly unique outdoor spaces. Designed by world-renowned plantsman Piet Oudolf, the garden contains over 100 different plants made up of over 90 different species of perennials, 22 different types of grass, and six different types of shrub.
The garden notoriously shows off Oudolf’s famous perennial drifts of sub-alpine, steppe and prairie plants.Launched in 1999 it was the first public garden to be designed by an emerging Oudolf, still relatively unknown in the UK at that time.
Ten years later, by which point he was recognised as one of the world’s most foremost plantsman, Oudolf returned to oversee the redesign and planting of his original garden with a decade’s more experience under his belt. It is one of five gardens at Pensthorpe and has become a real focal point for garden lovers all year round.
To celebrate Pensthorpe Natural Park’s 30th anniversary this summer, EDP Norfolk magazine has teamed up with the park to offer one lucky winner the unique opportunity to enjoy champagne afternoon tea for four people in the Millennium Garden’s gazebo. Soak up the sensual blend of colours and the tranquil planting scheme from this charming vista within the heart of the garden.
Plus, the winner will also receive an annual pass to the reserve for four people, enabling them to return throughout the year. But that’s not all. Three runners-up will each win an annual pass for four people, giving them a year to acquaint themselves with the beauty of the reserve.
