  • Gosh, I am sure these afternoon teas are good, but, I had a large carvery plus dessert for £9.50 in my local on Sunday, very good and much more filling for half the price.

  • The Pennoyer Centre in Pulham St Mary (follow brown signs from the A140) does fabulous vintage afternoon teas with finger sandwiches, sconescreamjam & (EDP Food & Drink Best Baking Award-winning) cakes, all on vintage mismatched china. Usually served in the 15th century guild chapel, needs to be booked in advance. Not sure of the price, but around the £13 mark?

  • Not sure how the assembly rooms is ranked so highly, eaten there both for afternoon tea and lunch recently and both weren't of great quality especially not compared to the price tag.
