Cutting in - cut it on!

Motoring editor Andy Russell gets cut up about impatient drivers.
Cutting in – cut it out!
One of my pet hates – and I know I’m not alone – is impatient drivers who, determined to pass one more car, cut in front of you at the last minute and make you brake.
Typically, it is on a dual-carriageway or motorway where they blast past, dive into the gap in front of you and then shoot off left along a slip road. And they never seem to have time to indicate!
I’ve found it even worse if you are riding a motorcycle which they clearly think, being smaller than a car, needs even less road and consideration.
The other day on a dual-carriageway, as I was slowing on my motorbike to turn right at a major roundabout, the car behind me suddenly undertook in the nearside lane, pulled back in front of me and braked hard for the roundabout. On leaving the roundabout, it pulled into a filling station. I suspect the way they drive, visits to filling stations are regular. Better to arrive late in this world than early in the next.
