Jaguar F-Pace

The all-new F-Pace, priced from £34,170, takes it into the performance cross-over sector. Delivering on the promise of Jaguar’s breakthrough C-X17 concept, the F-Pace boasts a spacious, luxurious cabin and large 650-litre load bay. All-wheel drive delivers reassuring levels of grip for all-weather confidence and power comes from 180PS 2.0-litre and 300PS 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesels and a supercharged 380PS 3.0-litre V6.

Ford Edge

Ford will expand its sport utility line-up with the large flagship Edge. Offering a choice of 180PS turbo or 210PS bi-turbo 2.0‑litre diesel engines, with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions respectively, intelligent all-wheel drive is standard. The spacious interior has been designed to deliver a luxurious occupant experience with high-quality materials throughout.

Renault Megane

Renault’s all-new Megane goes on sale in the UK in summer, the fifth Renault to be built on the new platform architecture shared with Nissan. It allows greater efficiency and means upper-segment technology can be made available more affordably. It’s longer and lower than the outgoing model, with the widest front and rear. Efficient turbo petrol and diesel engines provide strong flexibility while minimising fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Volvo S90

The new S90, Volvo’s entry ticket to the premium saloon club, will get a host of new technologies, ranging from cutting-edge safety to cloud-based apps and services. The S90 will also come with a clean and powerful T8 Twin Engine plug-in diesel hybrid powertrain and one of the most luxuriously appointed interiors. Expect a V90 estate version to follow.

Toyota Prius

Fourth generation Toyota Prius achieves its greatest improvements in efficiency yet, with CO2 emissions from 70g/km and combined fuel economy from 94.2mpg. It sees an all-new hybrid system, the 1.8-litre motor being the world’s most thermally efficient petrol engine and and the first use of Toyota’s new global platform which also sees enhanced handling, responsiveness and driver involvement.

Range Rover Evoque Convertible

The Range Rover’s Evoque Convertible, the world’s first luxury compact open-top sport utility vehicle, goes on sale in the spring priced from £47,500. The fully-automated fabric roof’s Z-fold mechanism lays flush with the rear bodywork for a sleek, uncluttered appearance when lowered. It stows in 18 seconds, and can be raised in 21 seconds, at speeds up to 30mph and it doesn’t affect the 251-litre boot.
