The momentum behind the first-ever Norfolk Day continues to grow. There are now over 100 events and ideas out there to help communities celebrate the day on Friday, July 27.
Among the things happening are a community photography competition, with a £500 first prize, and an art competition for the county’s talented young artists.
Cribbage players will have a special tournament in Norwich, while traditional reed-cutter Wally Mason will be showing off his skills, promoting Norfolk’s waterways and nature and its long-running rural traditions at a family fun day on Saturday, July 28, at the New Inn, Rockland St Mary.
Microbrewery Norfolk Brewhouse, on Harvest Lane, Hindringham, is creating limited edition bottles of Norfolk Day Sunrise and Norfolk Day Sunset for the event on July 27 and Woodfordes will also be creating a celebratory thirst-quencher.
Norfolk Day is being supported by EDP Norfolk magazine’s sister publication the Eastern Daily Press and BBC Radio Norfolk.
