Eric’s, known fine frying at Thornham, is opening a new restaurant in Holt, appropriately enough in Fish Hill
Eric’s Fish & Chips, who have earned an enviable reputation for fine frying at Thornham, is opening a new restaurant in Holt, appropriately enough in Fish Hill.
The site formerly operated as an Italian restaurant so Eric’s, part of Titchwell Manor head chef Eric Snaith’s culinary empire, has brought in interior designer Shaun Clarkson to undertake a full renovation. While there will be similarities in the design to Thornham, Eric’s says it will be allowing Holt its own identity.
There will be up to 35 covers in the restaurant and take-away will be available too. The menu will be similar to that at Thornham though there are plans for lighter options and specials for Holt customers. The restaurant will be licenced and will offer wine and local beer and cider.
The current manager at Thornham, Toby Kacary, will be moving to the Holt restaurant to oversee the launch and Eric’s is already recruiting kitchen and front of house staff, with the opening is scheduled for early spring. The restaurant will be open seven days a week.
