With a true local feel, our Norfolk cheese board selection is fantastic.
“Perfect for the festive season, we have a range of local products that are bound to make Christmas extra special.
With a true local feel, our Norfolk cheese board selection is fantastic. Go for Binham Blue, an ideal alternative to the traditional Stilton; Norfolk Dapple, a Cheddar-style cheese and Norfolk White Lady, a Brie-style cheese made with ewe’s milk. To round off the cheese board, don’t miss Candi’s Norfolk Crier onion chutney.
Add a mouthwateringly good award-winning Bray’s Cottage Pork Pie from Sarah Pettegree and who doesn’t love a sausage roll at Christmas? We love Mr Kew’s handmade sausage rolls in North Walsham.
For the main course, our delicious Broadland Bacon and Norfolk Garden redcurrant jelly will complement the excellent turkey and sausages available from Graves Butchers, all located in our Food Hall.
For something sweet, try the marzipan cake from The Real Norfolk Cake Company for that traditional Christmas treat and melt-in-your-mouth delicious Booja Booja Champagne chocolate truffles- perfect at any time.
Finally, when it comes to drinks, Winbirri Regent or Insignia is a soft, low tannin red, perfect with our Bakers and Larners’ honey roast ham and a mild Norfolk cheese. From the Norfolk Square Brewery comes Winklepicker Beer. Brewed with a combination of darker malts; it is a delicious traditional porter and perfect for the Venison casserole. For the end of the evening choose the fine single malt English Whisky made using the best local ingredients at St Georges Distillery in Roudham, and Norfolk Punch is a great alternative to alcohol.”
