2 portions

6 of your favourite sausages

1 large onion

1 small bunch of sage

1 dsp of plain flour

1 tsp Colman’s mustard powder

2 medium Bramley apples

250ml bitter

250ml chicken stock

1 tsp vegetable oil

1 Heat the vegetable oil. Fry the sausage to colour.

4 Fry the onions in the pan. Soften the onions, don’t be afraid to colour them.

10 Add the beer to the onion mix. Bring to the boil.

11 Add the stock and simmer for 5 minutes.

12 Add the chopped apple.

13 Pour the mixture over the sausages. Place in a preheated oven 180c/Gas 4 for 30 minutes.
