With lots of unusual presents, artisan crafts and local delights in abundance, we look at Norfolk's fairs and markets that have Christmas gift-buying all wrapped up!

Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food and Gift Fair

Friday 16th to Sunday 18th November

For a right royal treat head to the Sandringham Christmas Craft Show to browse the charming stalls, watch the many demonstrations and meet the craftsmen at work as they personalise that perfect gift. You’ll find present ideas for everyone among the artists, designers, potters, wood turners, haberdashers, and jewellery exhibitors. For that Christmas hamper, there’s plenty of choice in the food halls, with everything from cheeses, pies and meats, to continental chocolates and more. The show also has a specialist demonstration area where you can watch and chat to people involved in glassblowing, country crafts, wood-carving, jewellery-making and more not to mention an owl display and a chance to meet Santa himself. Adult £8, children £2, under 5s free

Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre

Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December

Taking place at the town centre market place, the Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre will begin with the opening ceremony at the Minster on Friday at 10am. The fair itself will include over 30 stalls of crafts and food and drink. Entertainment will come in the form of the Norwegian Lardal Kantori choir during the day who will perform a full concert on the Saturday evening. Check online for a full list of entertainment throughout the weekend. Free entry

Deepdale Christmas Market

Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December, 10am to 5pm

Stock up on Christmas decorations, presents and festive cheer at this event at Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale. The fair features more than 130 stalls, including crafts, clothing and gifts along with the shops and cafés at the market which will provide refreshments and further shopping. This year, there is a big focus on food with pizzas, pies, crepes, mulled wine, real ales, Christmas much and much more to try. For unusual stocking fillers, don’t miss the stalls selling gifts from independent and local artisans. Free entry and car parking

Holt Hall Christmas Fair

Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November, hourly entry intervals from 10am to 2pm

Enter the grand Holt Hall for a 55-stall Christmas fair. Pass the huge Christmas tree and roaring log fire before browsing a plethora of yuletide clothing, art, decorations, homeware and much more. Outdoor stalls will have hot food to help you warm up such as soup, pizza, crepes and hot drinks too. There will also be lots of artisanal food and drink available including locally produced alcohol, cheeses, sweet treats, meats and more. Tickets cost £3 per person, and can be purchased online

Global Village Christmas Market, The Forum, Norwich

Thursday 29th November to Saturday 1st December, 10am to 5pm

As one of the major creative hubs in the city, The Forum will be hosting the Norwich Global Village Christmas Market again this year. Inside you can expect stalls with beautiful hand crafted gifts and decorations from all over the world. Head outside for mulled wine and festive food to the tune of a brass band and carollers. Free entry

Christmas Craft Market at Pensthorpe Natural Park

Sunday 25th November

Expect craft, food and drink stalls, live music and festive lights - and a few mince pies and glasses of mulled wine! Check the website as full details are coming.

The Courtyard Festive Fair, Elveden Estate

Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th November, 10am to 4pm

In the courtyard of the grand Elveden Estate, there will be a weekend of Christmas festivities with over 20 stalls selling crafts, art and gifts. Local artisans will be selling their fare too with Norfolk food and drink to browse (and try) before taking home for your festive dining table.

Indoor Christmas Market, Ormiston Victory Academy, Norwich

Saturday 24th November, 10am to 3pm

There will be an abundance of festive goodies on offer at the Christmas market at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey this year. With over 70 stalls selling everything from jewellery, candles and festive gifts to locally made preserves and chutneys and hot food in the café, you’re sure to pick something up. There will be a Santa’s grotto, face painting and carol singers to keep the little ones entertained too. Free entry and free parking

Christmas Market at the Forum, Norwich

Friday 7th December to Sunday 23rd December

Throughout December, forty wooden chalets will be setting up camp outside the Forum with gifts, food and drink and more alongside a tavern serving mulled wine and playing host to festive street entertainment.

Holkham Festive Food Fair

Saturday 15th to Sunday 16th December, 10am to 4pm

It’s all about food at the Holkham Festive Food Fair taking place at the stunning Lady Elizabeth Wing on the Holkham Estate. Elevate your Christmas meals with locally made produce from Norfolk producers or find a perfect gift for a foodie loved one. Entertainment will include music and live cookery demonstrations to inspire you this Christmas season. See the website for a list of local producers that will be holding stalls. Free entry

• Norfolk Christmas Fayre

Saturday 1st December, 10am to 6pm

Everyone is invited to enjoy a free celebration of Christmas in Norfolk as the first ever Norfolk Christmas Fayre opens in the heart of Norwich on Saturday 1 December, between 10am-6pm at Norwich Cathedral.

Come and sample Christmas produce from around the county in the festive atmosphere of the Cathedral Cloisters. The Cathedral Close will also be lit up with festive trimmings.

Entertainment including carol singers and vintage fairground rides, along with the merry smells from the mulled wine stall will make sure that the Norfolk Christmas Fayre will be more than just a shopping event, but a place where you will be filled with the joys of the festive season.

The Cathedral Nave will be showing a range of art as well as prints, cards and other creations from local makers, which will offer visitors a unique gifting opportunity.

The Norfolk Christmas Fayre will also be promoting The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal, Toys and Tins. Free entry
