With lots of unusual presents, artisan crafts and local delights in abundance, we look at Norfolk’s fairs and markets that have Christmas gift-buying all wrapped up!

- Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food and Gift Fair

15-17 Nov

For a right royal treat head to the Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food and Gift Fair to browse the charming stalls, watch the many demonstrations and meet the craftsmen at work as they personalise that perfect gift. You'll find present ideas for everyone among the artists, designers, potters, wood turners, haberdashers, and jewellery exhibitors.

For that Christmas hamper, there's plenty of choice in the food halls, with everything from cheeses, pies and meats, to continental chocolates and more. The show also has a specialist demonstration area where you can watch and chat to people involved in glassblowing, country crafts, wood-carving, jewellery-making and more not to mention an owl display and a chance to meet Santa himself.

- Deepdale Christmas Market

Stock up on Christmas decorations, presents and festive cheer at this event at Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale. The fair features more than 120 stalls, including crafts, clothing and gifts along with the shops and cafés at the market which will provide refreshments and further shopping.

This year, there is a big focus on food with pizzas, pies, crepes, mulled wine, real ales, sloe gin and much more to try. For unusual stocking fillers, don't miss the stalls selling gifts from independent and local artisans.

- Holt Hall Christmas Fair

23-24 Nov. 9.30am-3.30pm. Tickets £3.50 (available online)

Enter the grand Holt Hall for a 65-stall Christmas fair. Pass the huge Christmas tree and roaring log fire before browsing a plethora of yuletide clothing, art, decorations, homeware and much more. Outdoor stalls will have hot food to help you warm up such as soup, pizza, crepes and hot drinks too.

There will also be lots of artisanal food and drink available including locally produced alcohol, cheeses, sweet treats, meats and more.

- Festive Fair at the Forum, Norwich

21-24 Nov. 10am-6pm, 10am-4pm Sun. Free entry

There will be over 50 stalls teeming with gifts such as candles, pottery, jewellery which can be browsed while listening to Christmas carols and sipping on a mulled wine, Baileys hot chocolate or prosecco.

More entertainment will come in the form of The Pavilion brass band, the Big C choirs and a fairground organ on Sunday.

- Global Village Christmas Market, The Forum, Norwich

5-7 Dec. 10am-5pm. Free entry

As one of the major creative hubs in the city, The Forum will be hosting the Norwich Global Village Christmas Market again this year. Inside you can expect stalls with beautiful hand crafted gifts and decorations from all over the world. Head outside for mulled wine and festive food to the tune of a brass band and carollers.

- Vegan Christmas fair, The Forum, Norwich

1 Dec. 10am-4pm

A range of stalls selling sweet and savoury vegan food, vegan beauty products, eco and vegan friendly household essentials and live music.

- Christmas Craft Market at Pensthorpe Natural Park

24 Nov. 10am-4pm. Free entry and parking

Expect craft, food and drink stalls, live music and festive lights - and a few mince pies and glasses of mulled wine!

The market is free but there will also be reduced entry to the park for £8 per person.

- The Courtyard Festive Fair, Elveden Estate

16-17 Nov. 10am-5pm. Free entry and parking

In the courtyard of the grand Elveden Estate, there will be a weekend of Christmas festivities with over 20 stalls selling crafts, art and gifts.

Local artisans will be selling their fare too with Norfolk food and drink to browse (and try) before taking home for your festive dining table.

- Indoor Christmas Market, Ormiston Victory Academy, Norwich

30 Nov. 10am-3pm. Free entry and parking

There will be an abundance of festive goodies on offer at the Christmas market at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey this year.

With over 70 stalls selling everything from jewellery, candles and festive gifts to locally made preserves and chutneys and hot food in the café, you're sure to pick something up. There will be a Santa's grotto, face painting and carol singers to keep the little ones entertained too.

- Holkham Festive Food Fair

14-15 Dec. 10am-4pm

It's all about food at the Holkham Festive Food Fair taking place at the stunning Lady Elizabeth Wing on the Holkham Estate. Elevate your Christmas meals with locally made produce from Norfolk producers or find a perfect gift for a foodie loved one.

Entertainment will include music and live cookery demonstrations to inspire you this Christmas season. See the website for a list of local producers that will be holding stalls. Free entry

- Norfolk Christmas Fayre, Norwich Cathedral

6-7 Dec. 10am-9pm Sat, 10am-5pm Sun. Free entry

The Norfolk Christmas Fayre will be more than just a shopping event, but a place where you will be filled with the joys of the festive season. Homegrown makers, creators and producers will be inviting you to sample and shop unique gifts from around the county.

The Cloisters, Nave and the Cathedral Close will be lit up with festive lights and local food trucks will satisfy your hunger.
