Archant Norfolk 2014

A great day out for all the family.

Expect racing camels, giant vegetables, a parachute display, cookery demonstrations, vintage tractors and car displays, a spectacular grand parade of animals and plenty of friendly fellows such as this inquisitive goat, pictured at last year’s show. The Aylsham Agricultural Show, which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, celebrates rural life in north Norfolk, as Chloe Tucker reports, with a wonderful array of animals eagerly waiting to welcome the 18,000 expected visitors. Situated in the beautiful grounds of the National Trust estate of Blickling Park, the event has grown into the largest one-day show in East Anglia, with something to interest all the family. As well as giving a taste of rural life, it supports the community by raising money for local charities. Advance tickets are from £12, or £15 on the day, and children under 16 go free;
