The remarkable rhododendrons and azaleas of Sheringham Park are in fabulous full bloom this month. Wander and wonder, or climb to the top of viewing towers to survey the red, pink and purple parkland below.
The famous blooms were celebrated with parties in the 1950s when guests in evening-wear and welly boots would walk down the main carriageway, sipping champagne. Today the 1,000 acres of woodland, parkland and cliff-top are owned by the National Trust.
