Robin and Ben at Titchwell
There are so many amazing scenes across the Norfolk landscape, but my favourite view is from my office window! What I love to see the most is the smile on children’s faces as they go out and explore nature.
This image shows young Ben hand-feeding a juvenile robin and, believe me, by the time Ben left, they had become great friends. Sending children like Ben home with a renewed love for nature is what I strive to do every day.
I hope to give all children the passion to make their garden into a mini nature reserve. It doesn’t require much; place a couple of logs for a hedgehog to hibernate underneath, an empty bottle filled with straw for insect to hide in over the cold winter months, or some bird feeders to attract a flurry of birds to your garden. After the hard work you can sit back and enjoy your new garden visitors from the comfort of your living room!
