Diss

I chose this view because the handsome church dominates the pleasant town of Diss, with its beautiful mere and peaceful atmosphere.

Also, this ancient church was the venue for a performance of my oratorio, David, on November 22. The life of Israel’s greatest king was be performed by full chorus, orchestra and professional solo singers. The concert is in aid of The Household Cavalry Foundation.

Peter Creswell lives in Redgrave, near Diss, and served in the Army before training as a concert pianist and music teacher. He worked in Africa for many years, staging numerous musical shows, and founded the Redgrave Singers when he moved back to England. He has written several choral works for the choir.

His oratorio David will be performed in Diss in aid of The Household Cavalry Foundation, which helps care for the soldiers, casualties, veterans, heritage and horses of the Household Cavalry – famous for both frontline service and pageantry.
