Seven Sacraments

Ringstead celebrates its 39th annual open garden event. Gardens open from 11am, lunch served at The Old Rectory, with teas available from Westgate House, along with craft stalls, cakes, tombola, raffle and plant stall. St Andrew’s Church will house the floral displays, and art work will be on display around the gardens.

The Museum of the Broads at Stalham holds its Jazz and Beer evening Savoir Faire Jazz Trio.


Around the garden

Norfolk Lymphoma Group holds an open afternoon at The Bishop’s House Garden, Norwich, to support people affected by lymphatic cancer; with performances from soprano Hayley Moss and The Poringland Singers’ Choir.

Big Cycle Ride

The Cozens-Hardy Big Cycle Ride at Blickling Estate celebrates The Big C’s 35th anniversary with £3.50 from the £20 entry fee going to the Norfolk cancer charity. A family-friendly 3.5km off-road loop has been added to the three scenic 25-mile road loops.


Midsummer at Holkham

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed by London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) in the walled garden at Holkham Hall.

Prized art

See the shortlisted pieces for this year’s Holt Festival Art Prize at the Auden Theatre in Holt. The winner will be announced at a private view on July 24, by actor Sir John Hurt. The exhibition is part of the Holt Festival Art Trail that also takes in many other galleries and exhibition spaces around the town.
