Norwich Film Festival returns with record-breaking number of screenings

The Norwich Film Festival returns in November for another year


A record-breaking 155 films will be screened, plus talks, Q&As and a charity launch. Hear actor David Morrissey in conversation with film critic Peter Bradshaw at the festival launch at Open, Norwich, on November 4.

On November 10 a gala screening of Snowpiercer, starring Sir John Hurt, will be followed by a Q&A with his widow, Anwen, Lady Hurt, and Mark Kermode. Lady Hurt said: "It is a very appropriate way to honour John's memory and to launch the Sir John Hurt Film Trust, which will continue the work which John was passionate about, promoting great cinema in his adopted county."

The festival also includes animated shorts for kids, regional premieres, events with industry stars and and Alfred Hitchcock's silent masterpiece The Lodger, screened with a live piano accompaniment.
