The exhibition about the extraordinary writer has opened at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the UEA

Until February 9, 2020

A new, revealing exhibition about the life and work of Nobel laureate Doris Lessing opens at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia.

Considered one of the most extraordinary writers of the 20th century, The Doris Lessing 100 exhibition features a glimpse into her extensive personal archive which will be on display for the first time. It also investigates her communist activities in Africa and London, her move away from communism, her activism in the Afghan war and her obsessions with the promise of space travel and the horror of nuclear war and how these dramas of her political and spiritual life inspired her work.
